Summary
A bisque-headed doll with moulded and painted facial features and probably real brown hair. The blue eyes open and close. The body is composition, and the arms and legs are of composition or wood, hollow with ball joints at knees and elbows. The arms are detached but held on by the sleeves of the dress. She wears a pale green silk dress, badly worn and split at the back, with pink roses and lace trim at throat, sleeves and hem. Below this are a cream linen petticoat, a cream flannel petticoat with lace trim, a cotton petticoat with a lot of broderie anglaise on its skirt, a thinner cotton petticoat with a narrow lace hem, an openwork knitted vest, and a pair of white cotton drawers with pintucks and lace hems. With this doll is a cape or waistcoat in black satin lined with cream satin. It fastens at the neck with two embroidered rosettes which conceal a press stud. There is a similar fastener on the left side under the arm, but one at the right side is missing. Total number of items is 2.
