Summary
A sheet of cream coloured cardboard which is folded in three, entitled 'The Royal Scottish Museum/ Cut-out Costume Doll'. At the top left-hand side of the sheet are instructions printed in black ink on how to cut-out, colour and make the doll. To the side and bottom of the text are the following black illustrations; the front and back of a young woman dressed in combinations style underwear, a base on which to stand the doll, the backs of 4 hear styles, 4 illustrations of dresses and the front of 4 hair styles. The dresses and hair styles are dated from left to right as follows; 'Day dress and bonnet, circa 1820.', Evening dress and feather circa 1920.', 'Walking dress and hat, circa 1900.' and 'Ball dress and hairstyle, circa 1860.'
