Summary
A large bisque headed doll in poor condition. The brown hair wig can be removed and was packaged separately at some point. Found inside the hollow bisque head were the eyes, blue, with white ceramic pink composition and metal weight, five large pieces of pink and white composition, plus several smaller pieces, hairs, and dust. The remains of the glue can be seen around the top of the head. The eye sockets are hollow and the mouth is open to show the teeth. Inscribed on the back of the head is 'Made in Germany/ Armand Marseille/ 390/ [URGM] 2 [4]6/ 8M'. The body of the doll is composition, badly cracked along the sides so that in some places metal staples can be seen. Additional cracks are on the arms and legs. The doll is jointed at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist and knees. It is wearing a cream cotton sleeveless skirt which opens at the front and fastens with four fabric covered buttons. On the feet are two cream knitted socks. A piece of green tape or paper was found on the doll's left shoulder. Total number of items is 12.
