Summary
A baby's long cream coloured flannel barracoat (circa 1880 to circa 1910). It is cut in one piece with a bodice which has rows of stitching in the centre. The barracoat is extended at each side with tape ties on each end. The lefthand tape passes through a buttonhole in the righthand side of the bodice and ties in the front of the garment. There are also two tape ties midway down the skirt. Two tapes are attached on either side at the top of the bodice to form the armholes. The edges of the bodice and buttonhole are bound with tape. There are signs of insect damage (moth).
