Summary
A child's mottled green double breasted woollen coat with long sleeves and a centre back vent (possibly 1930s or 1950s). The coat is lined with dark grey cotton. There are four green buttons with buttonholes and two buttonholes at the neck. There is a flap pocket on each front side of the coat and an inner breast pocket on the rightside. A paper label attached to the loop at the neck states that the coat was made in Scotland and is a Del Monte Garment, style 637, size 6 and a price code NH/1. One the reverse side of the label there is a photograph of a boy and girl wearing Del Monte coats. The separate belt, the same material as the coat, has a dark green buckle. Total number of items is 2.

On the label inside the left-hand side of the coat and on the inside breast pocket: 'This is a /DEL MONTE/GARMENT/MADE IN SCOTLAND/ Del Monte/ 1550' On the label in the lining seam: 'CC41'
