Summary
A baby's white cotton first shirt (circa 1850 - circa 1900). The top edge has two diagonal slits each approximately 100mm long between which the edge is open (all of this edge and the bottom edge have tiny hems), with seams at the top of the shoulders. There is a narrow edging of lace around the armholes, which have triangular gussets at the lower edge. The lace is slightly frayed, and the garment is slightly stained.
