Summary
A child's plain, white, polyester and cotton blouse with short sleeves, sold by 'Marks and Spencer' under their brand name 'St Michael' (circa 1980). The blouse has a stiff rounded collar with fine chain stitch embroidery decorating the edge. The sleeve edges are decorated in the same way. Two ties are sewn into either side of the collar. The blouse opens all the way down and fastens with five mother of pearl type buttons, which are possibly made of plastic. The blouse has a white material label sewn into the seam which gives details of manufacturer and size on the front and washing details and symbols on the back. Beneath this is another label, which shows a series of numbers.
