Summary
A child's white, polyester and cotton petticoat, sold by 'Marks and Spencer' under their brand name 'St Michael' (circa 1980). The petticoat is from the waist down. The petticoat is elasticated at the waist. The petticoat has two seams at either side. It has a row of machine-made lace towards the hem, followed by a row of four small pintucks. It is finished at the hem with a lace frill, which has a scalloped edge. The lace has repeating flower mofits. The petticoat has a material label sewn into the seam near the waistband which gives details of manufacturer, material, size on the front and washing details and symbols on the back.
