Summary
A baby's white cotton first shirt, with lace trimmed sleeves (circa 1850 to circa 1900). At the front and back are two flaps which slope slightly inwards, these can be folded down to protect the baby's skin from other material. The shirt opens at the back, but has no fastenings. The second garment numbered '2 of 4' is identical in design. The third garment is numbered '3 of 4'and is a plain white baby's cotton first shirt, with lace trimmed sleeves. The flaps at the front and back are semi-circular in shape. The shirt also opens at the back, but has no fastening. The fourth garment numbered '4 of 4' is identical in design. Total number of items is 4.
