Summary

A baby's first shirt made of cotton (circa 1840 - circa 1860). The armholes have a triangular insert underarm and are trimmed with lace. The garment is open at the back or is it the front. The neckline has two vertical slits at the shoulder forming a rectangular flap front and back, which folds down to protect the baby's skin.
