Summary
A baby's first shirt made of linen (circa 1840 - circa 1860). The armholes have triangular insets underarm. The side seams are slit a short way and reinforced by triangular inserts at the top. The garment is very slightly stained. The neckline has two slits on either shoulder forming a rectangular flap that folds down from the front and back to protect the baby's skin.
