Summary
A pair of children's mittens (circa 1840 - 1860) in blue and black silky cotton or manmade fabric. These are knitted in alternate lines of blue and black. The blue being shiny, the black plain. This gives a stretchy ribbed effect. These are fingerless mittens with just an open ended thumb section. There is a band of black shiny cotton at the wrist and finger end. The wrist end is finished with a plain non stretch band. Total number of items is 2.
