Summary
A child's bonnet made from cream net that is embroidered with leaves (circa 1835 to circa 1850). A lace trim has been sewn around the horse-shoe shaped panel at the back of the bonnet. Also described on the original documentation as a 'Lady's lace afternoon cap'. The front edge is trimmed with cream cotton which has holes in it. The bonnet has holes in it. There is a lace insert running half way between the cotton front edge and the horse-shoe shaped panel at the back.
