Summary
A (early 20th century) baby's long, white cotton robe or christening gown trimmed with lace at the neck, bodice and cuffs, with embroidered insertions. The bodice is also embroidered. The skirt is decorated with eight pin tucks and four bands of broderie anglaise. The lower band has a scalloped edge and is trimmed at the hem with laced. The top band of broderie anglaise is becoming detached from the skirt. It fastens at the back with two cotton tape ties. The bodice also has pin tucks and at the back the bodice is separated from the skirt.
