The pants are designed to be fastened to a bodice with two button holes on one side of the waistband and three button holes on the other side. All the button holes are horizontal. On the three button hole side is a red sewn laundry mark, possibly reading 'E x'. The inside of the waistband has a printed label reading the number '8'. The edges of the knicker legs are decorated with lace.
