Summary
A child's cream coloured smock (circa 1890 to circa 1920), which has a front opening on the bodice which fastens with four pearl buttons, one of which is flat. The smocking on the front and the back is identical and creates a three band decorative pattern. The thread used for the smocking is of a silky texture, the same thread and pattern is used to draw in the cuff at the end of a full length sleeve. The collar carries a simple line of embroidery with a cross at each point.
