Summary
A child's late 19th or early 20th century 'Turkey' red fine wool cape. The cape has a hood gathered round the face with a red and black cord. The cape has a red ribbon tie at the neck. The garment has silk embroidered floral motifs scattered all over. It is lined with a cream coloured silk. There are signs of insect damage. A note garment written in 1976 reads 'according to the donor this cloak was given to her as a small child (she is now seventy) by a very old lady. So it must now be well over 100 years old.'
