Summary
A cream-yellow small child's silk romper suit. The suit has a shirt collar with a label reading 'Bairnswear' in blue ink inside. The shirt opens at the front and fastens with three mother of pearl buttons. The sleeves are short with folded ends. The shirt is decorated with green and orange smocking. Fastened to the bottom of the shirt with four large mother of pearl buttons are a pair of shorts. The back of the suit is stained in places.

Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Mrs C. Fawcett in July 1975.

On the label inside the shirt: 'BAIRNSWEAR / MADE IN ENGLAND / SIZE 16.'
