Summary
A girl's navy blue serge gym slip (possibly 1920s or 1930s). The garment was made by the company 'Daniel Neal and Sons Ltd, London' - operating between 1837 and 1963 when it was bought by 'John Lewis' partnership. It has a square yoke buttoned at the shoulder with two buttons on either side. There are three box pleats front and back. Concealed behind the right front box pleat is a slit pocket. There are belt carriers attached to the side seams. The yoke is lined with black cotton and has a label which reads 'Daniel Neal and Sons Limited/London' and then attached to this is a small label reading '33/O.S.'
