Summary
A very fine white linen bonnet for a baby (circa 1830). There is a circle of broderie anglaise at the crown, into which the main part of the bonnet is gathered. Parallel with the face edge is a border of pulled-thread work and piping. At the face edge are three lace frills, with two narrow cotton tape ties at the lower edges. Along the base of the back and round the face edge are drawstring threads for adjusting the fit.
