Summary
A long, cream-coloured robe for a baby, with long sleeves gathered at the cuff and edged with narrow lace. The very long full skirt is gathered at the neck edge at the back, and at the bodice at the front. This front bodice is also gathered at the centre for approx 11cm at the neck and at the lower edge where two broad ties are attached, each ending in a curve edged with lace. The neck is edged with narrow lace, with an inset band of lace below this at the front, and a channel around the neck through which narrow tape is threaded for tying at the back. The full skirt has a set of three pintucks just above the hem. There are several small brown stains, especially near the lower edge.
