Summary
A child's white cotton short sleeved cropped bodice (circa 1810). The bodice is gathered onto a waistband which has two linen buttons (Dorset Wheels) and buttonholes in the centre front. The waistband is embroidered with roundels of dots and is lined with a plain piece of cotton. The short puff sleeves have four rows of embroidered insertion made in a V shape, and are edged with two rows of the insertion. The front has two rows of insertion gathered onto the waistband and the back has three pieces set into a V formation. The insertions are joined by machine faggotting.
