Summary
A boy's white, cotton, summer coat with a wide collar (circa 1890 to circa 1900). This garment is identical in style to another garment - inventory number 658096. The garment fastens as for a boy. The dress is made of ribbed, heavy cotton and has a wide collar with wide broderie anglaise trim. The skirt has a plain yoke with an A-line style skirt attached. Like the collar, the bottom of the skirt is trimmed with a wide panel of broderie anglaise. The broderie anglaise is both instances has a very open appearance and has a scalloped edge. The dress opens at the front from the neck to the hem and has a set of four, round, mother of pearl button and fastens at the neck with a metal press stud. The sleeves are decorated with broderie anglaise on the cuffs. The back has a box pleat at the back which hangs from the yoke.
