Summary
An adult's black woollen cape lined with black silk. The cape closes at the front with three stout hooks and eyes, but there is evidence of others having been present. There is a circular yoke heavily gathered over the shoulders and in the centre back. In each half of the front at waist level are two vertical slits. The two piece collar is mounted on a shallow stand and lined underneath with black silk. The lining has small pockets near the opening front edges at the level of the vertical slits. The garment shows evidence of wear and has been repaired. It is marked.
