Summary
A miniature set of playing cards including two jokers. The back of the cards bears a coloured drawing of the head and shoulders of a girl wearing a beige hood. There is a make and place of production on ace of Spades reading 'All-British Make, John Waddington Ltd, Leeds And London'. Total number of items is 54. Waddington’s – 1922 to 1994 Founded as Waddingtons Limited as a printing business. The name then changed from Waddingtons Limited to Waddington's House of Games. In 1905 Waddington's House of Games changed their name to John Waddington Limited. In 1922 John Waddington Limited changed their name to Waddington Games. The last name change was from Waddington Games to Waddingtons. In 1971 Waddingtons bought out Alf Cooke. In 1994 Waddingtons was bought out by Hasbro.
