Summary
An incomplete set of playing cards, which are a facsimile reprint by 'Harry Margary in 1972 of Bowles's South Sea Bubble' playing cards of 1720. Each card carries an engraving with a satirical verse below, with an inset showing its value and suit at the top. and a folded cardboard box printed on one side with a copy of the publisher's card, and on the other with a copy of the Knave of Diamonds. A folded leaflet describes the set and advertises other publications. There are nine cards missing catalogued as TEMP.1074.1-10. Total number of items is 45.
