Summary
Two incomplete packs of playing cards, each advertising the 'Blue Funnel Line' on the back (circa 1910 to circa 1922). Both are quite well-used and dirty. One pack has only thirty seven cards, including a Joker, and has a cream back, with a drawing of a ship printed in blue and black in a circle, and 'The Blue Funnel Line, Alfred Holt & Company'. The other pack has only forty eight cards, including a blank one, and the colour-printed image on the back features a liner with a sailing ship believed to be TSS Aeneas and a rainbow in the background, and 'The Blue Funnel Line (Alfred Holt & Co. Liverpool) South Africa, Australia, Far East'. Total number of items is 85.
