Summary
A pack of playing cards (circa 1930). There are fifty two cards plus one blank card and a box. The box has the name 'Gaymer' on one side with two Royal Warrants. A playing card is attached to the reverse of the box. This shows a picture of a man holding a bottle on a tray which is repeated upside down. The words 'Gaymer's Cyder' and two Royal Warrants appear at the top and bottom of the card. The cards are printed on yellow paper. Total number of items is 54. Waddington’s – 1922 to 1994 Founded as Waddingtons Limited as a printing business. The name then changed from Waddingtons Limited to Waddington's House of Games. In 1905 Waddington's House of Games changed their name to John Waddington Limited. In 1922 John Waddington Limited changed their name to Waddington Games. The last name change was from Waddington Games to Waddingtons. In 1971 Waddingtons bought out Alf Cooke. In 1994 Waddingtons was bought out by Hasbro.
