Summary

A card game, 'WHOT', consisting of fifty four cards, an instruction booklet, a box with attached lid and a broken WHOT leaflet (1930s). This game is still being produced. The suites are triangles, crosses, circles and squares. The cards are printed in dark blue with a dark blue, red and white design on the back incorporating the name WHOT. The instruction booklet consists of several pages stapled inside a dark blue card cover. The publisher's name is printed on the back cover. The box is covered in dark blue paper with an inscription printed in gold coloured ink on the front,''WHOT', A Game For Everyone'. The lid is attached to the box with a white fabric tape. Inside the lid printed in red ink is: 'Watson And Sons, London Bazaar Stores, [134], 135, 136, High Street, Winchester'. There is a circular price label with red scalloped edges attached to the back of the box with the handwritten price, 2/6. The leglet, a plastic band with two metal clips inscribed WHOT, has degraded and broken into many pieces. The metal clips are corroding. Total number of items is 57.
