Summary
A complete set of playing cards with two peliminary cards (1972) which are a facsimile reprint of Morden's playing cards of 1676. Each card carries its value and suit at the top and a map of one of the counties of England below. The Kings bear pictures of Charles II; the Queens, of Catherine of Braganza; and the Knaves, of different unnamed men. There is also a card describing the facsimile reprint, and a folded cardboard box printed on one side with a copy of the publisher's card, and on the other with a copy of the King of Hearts. A folded leaflet adevertises other publications. An inscription printed in black and red on the box and descriptive cards reads: 'Facsimile of Morden's Playing Cards, First Published...Published by Harry Margary, Lympne Castle, Kent, 1972'. Total number of items is 57.
