Summary
A card game called 'Change for a Sovereign', published by Joseph Evans & Sons, Old Street, London. This is possibly a very rare game and was produced around the middle of the 1860s. Consisting of fifty six illustrated cards on a cream background and are made up of - one sovereign card, one half-guinea, two half-sovereigns, four crowns, eight half-crowns, ten florins, fifteen shillings and fifteen sixpences. The reverse side of the cards is cream with a minute, pale blue, flowery pattern. A 2-page 'Rules for the game of 'Change for a Sovereign' is included with the cards. Total number of items is 57.
