Summary
A board game (circa 1848) entitled 'An Interesting New Game, The Journey or Cross Roads to Conqueror's Castle'. Which consists of the playing surface which is paper in twelve pieces stuck on linen which folds up into a cardboard cover covered in green cloth, to which the top left hand section of the game is attached. The directions for play and rules of the game are printed on paper which is attached by its left-hand edge to the cover. The roads are painted in a peach colour and the landscapes and figures in-between are in blue, green, red, brown, yellow, grey and white. Where instructions appear they are on pink-coloured scrolls.
