Summary
This is a baby's barracoat. This garment is open down the back and closes with ties that go through a slot to fasten at the front. There is an additional set of ties at the waist. The bodice of the garment has a quilted panel in the centre of the front and there are shoulder straps. The skirt of the garment is gathered into the waist. The whole of the edge of the garment is trimmed with scalloped button hole embroidery.
