Summary
A baby's white cotton first shirt (circa 1850 - circa1900). The garment is open at the back and has vertical slits on either side at the top of the front, and on each of the back parts. These slits are trimmed with lace that continues across the front of the garment. The short sleeves are trimmed with lace at the elbow end.
