Summary
This is a baby's white cotton first shirt (circa 1850 - circa 1900). It is open at the back. There are vertical slits on either side at the top of the front and one on each of the two back sides. These slits are trimmed with lace at the sleeve side. On each shoulder seam is a small covered button and button hole. The sleeves have a circular gathered panel and are trimmed at the arm end with a band of lace.
