Summary
A child's early 20th century (circa 1905 to circa 1925) white lawn short-sleeved dress or chemise with a back opening closed by two pearl buttons and buttonholes. The V neck, hem and sleeves have a scalloped edge. A cutwork design round the neck, down the middle of front, round sleeves and at centre hem. The side seams are joined by narrow insertion. Around the waist and sleeves a series of slits for threading a ribbon. 'Early' appears on a name tape at the back of the neck and 'Rosemary' is embroidered on the front.
