A baby's staybodice made from quilted cream flannel which is worn and discoloured - possibly the top half of a Barracoat. It has armholes, below which are is a slot and one large fabric covered button at each side. In the middle of the front is a thicker panel with criss-cross stitching in cream cotton. All the edges are bound with fabric tape, and there are cotton tapes at the sides to tie it on.
