Summary
A hand made wooden boat mounted on an oak base with two full width feet. The boat and base are finished with a mahogany coloured varnish. The gunhale is painted with a black gloss paint and is incomplete. One bow and one stern piece remain, but only the stern piece is still attached. Originally a gold paint line decorated the gunhale. Pins to which cotton thred rigging was attached still remain, with remnants of the rigging. The wheel, with cotton thread still attached to the steering mechanism, is still in place, and the funnel and watch bell were immediately to its rear. The positioning of the mast and light is still evident, with remnants of the glue which fixed them. two clear plastic envelopes contain various other fittings, and there is a green painted piece of plywood about the size of the base of the boat, and a grey oblong plastic plate with two studs, possibly associated with the boat. Total number of items is 20.
