Summary
A set of light-coloured wood doll's-house furniture for a bedroom or boudoir. There are four straight-backed chairs with turned legs and upholstered in faded pink fabric with a pink fringe around the seat edge. Paper backing to chairs. There is a footstool to match. There is a table with a turned pedestal which has four feet attached (one of these has been broken and glued). There is also a hat stand with shaped legs and a turned upper half from which four metal hooks protrude. There are two dressing tables. Each has a tilting mirror supported by two turned uprights. On the shaped top of one dressing table are three circular holes which presumably would originally have held toilet items. The shaped top is echoed by a shaped lower shelf. Four turned legs support the top and the lower shelf. The other dressing table is more elaborate and incorporates a canopied structure. At the back of the dressing table is a tall rectangular piece of wood. At the top of this projects a semi-circular crown shaped piece of wood from which hangs some faded pink torn fabric trimmed with lace and muslin curtains trimmed with lace. This dressing table incorporates two removable drawers, a shaped lower shelf and turned legs. On either side of its tilting mirror is a turned wooden bowl holding cream and blue fabric flowers. Total number of items is 9.
