Summary
A bisque-headed (possibly German) autoperipatetikos doll with inset blue glass eyes, moulded and painted facial features and a real long brown hair wig. The head might be a later replacement (c1914). Bisque arms and hands. The upper arms are covered in white kid leather. Stuffed white kid leather torso. The lower half of the doll is formed from a wooden cylinder with a round base. Inserted into slots in the base are three revolving metal wheels. The doll is wearing a cream cotton dress decorated with pin tucks and broderie anglaise. Lace trim to neck. A pink silk or satin sash is tied in a bow around her waist.

Loaned to the Museum of Childhood by the Betty Cadbury Trust Sudbury in May 1994.
