Summary
A doll made from a wooden spoon, with painted facial features and hair. A cotton mop head fixed to the spoon represents her head, with a piece of scrubbing brush fixed to the back of the spoon for hair. She wears a cream coloured floor cloth tied at the neck, and a yellow duster with red bands forms her skirt. A white cotton dishcloth is her shawl. On a square label around her neck is written in ink 'An Experienced General/ You stir your porridge with my face/ And with my apron dust the place/ The dishes washed up with my shawl/ It's very strong, though very small/ The skirt you'll say is not a 'hobble'/ I'll clean your floor without much trouble/ And if you want a mop it's said/ You'll find it on my wooden head/ Just take me as I here appear/ You'll find me useful and not dear/ My hair is really turning grey/ Because Lloyd George I must obey'.
