Summary
A rare and important late 18th century centre pedestal desk in finely figured mahogany; the top with green leather inset, finished with moulded edge; fitted with nine drawers on one side and dummy drawers and panelled cupboard doors on the other side, each side having a shaped panel with carved paterae and lifting handles; fluted applied threequarter columns at corners finished with carved acanthus leaves; original handles and rounded feet.
