Summary
A candlestand raised on a black marble drum with extruded plinths upon which stand three bronze beasts supporting the ormolu mounted drum of malachite. Above this, three bronze maidens at full length standing back to back as caryatids supporting the six branch ormolu candelabrum on their heads. Replacment brass sconces. The candle stand is said to have been brought back by Admiral Sir John Borlase Warren from St. Petersburg, where he served as ambassador in 1802.

Vernon collection transferred to the Treasury in 1967 following death of 9th Lord Vernon, and transferred to The National Trust in 1967.
