Summary
A Charles II walnut escritoire, inlaid with panels of floral marquetry picked out in stained ivory and enclosing drawers and pigeon holes, surmounted by a cushion drawer and with a frieze drawer below on cabriole legs. The doors and legs have been adapted at a later date.

Vernon collection transferred to the Treasury in 1967 following death of 9th Lord Vernon, and transferred to The National Trust in 1967.
