Summary
One of a pair of Chippendale mahogany dining chairs with foliated and scrolled toprails, centred by carved leaf medallions, and with similarly carved, interlaced splats and moulded, fluted uprights; the straight seat rails with gadrooned aprons and foliated cabriole legs terminate in claw and ball feet.
Provenance
Vernon collection transferred to the Treasury in 1967 following death of 9th Lord Vernon, and transferred to The National Trust in 1967.
