Oil painting on canvas, An Unknown Young Woman with a Corsage by Theodore Blake Wirgman (Louvain 1848 - London 1925), initialed, bottom right, in yellow paint: T. B W. A head-and-shoulders portrait of a young woman head inclined slightly to the right, looking to the right, a white shawl over a dark dress with a coat over her shoulders and clasped in her right hand together with a bunch of flowers. Hair pulled back into a bun. Flowers behind. A tattered label on the reverse, largely illegible, reads,'Agatha (?) painted for E L. (Emily Caroline Massingberd) by 'J.' (rest lost).
