Oil painting on canvas, Harriet Anne Langford, Mrs Charles Langton Massingberd by Richard Buckner (Chichester 1812 – London 1883), circa 1842, signed, on the ground in front of her to the right: R Buckner Rome.f. A full-length portrait, seated in a landscape in white dress and black shawl, a spaniel on her lap. Daughter of richard Langford and first wife of Charles Langton Massingberd who inherited Gunby after the disappearance of his nephew,Algernon, in South America. Buckner was in Rome in 1842,perhaps the occasion on which this portrait was painted.

1944, gifted to the National Trust by Field Marshal Sir Archibald and Lady Montgomery Massingberd.
