Oil painting on canvas, Algernon Massingberd (1828-1855), British (English) School, circa 1844. A full-length portrait, as a naval cadet, leaning against a rock by the sea. He was the only son of Algernon Langton Massingberd. His uncle inherited Gunby.
Provenance
1944, gifted to the National Trust by Field Marshal Sir Archibald and Lady Montgomery Massingberd.
