A mahogany planter or jardinière, converted from a globe stand, English, basically mid 18th century. Of circular form raised on carved cabriole legs and hairy lion's paw feet.
Provenance
Gifted to the National Trust by Field Marshal Sir Archibald and Lady Montgomery Massingberd in 1944.
