Summary
One of a set of twelve silver George III dinner plates, each of plain circular form with gadrooned border engraved with the Cole crest and a coronet, marked under rims and engraved with original scratchweights and inventory nos. 50-72. Made by John Schofield, London, 1789. Probably ordered by the 1st Earl of Enniskillen following his elevation to the Earldom in August 1789. The crest is a demi-dragon holding a dart and supporting an escutcheon or a shield. (Ferguson2013) Marks - No 52 17=18
